Stan James launch their 2011 US Masters giveaway

In the last ten years, the US Masters golf tournament has been dominated by two Americans. In 2001 and 2002, Tiger Woods added a second and third green jacket to his collection at Augusta, while the former world number one was victorious for a fourth time in 2005.

Meanwhile, Phil Mickelson’s ‘nearly man’ tag came to an end in 2004 when the left-handed magician won the first golfing major of the year – and the first of his career. Further successes came in 2006 and 2010, so we can be sure that the 40-year-old will perform well at a course that he loves.

Therefore, Stan James are taking a massive risk with their US Masters promotion launched today, which promises to refund losing stakes on the tournament if Tiger Woods or Phil Mickelson are wearing the Green Jacket come Sunday evening.

Stan James are fast developing a reputation for some excellent cashback promotions and they got their fingers burnt last summer when offering to refund losing bets if Spain won the 2010 World Cup.

It also means that if you were thinking of placing a bet on some of the lively European contenders, then Stan James would be the place to visit. Lee Westwood is getting increasingly closer to a first major and the Worksop golfer is 14/1 to claim the 2011 US Masters.

Martin Kaymer has recently leapfrogged Westwood as the world number one and the German demonstrated at the USGPA last year that he is capable of winning major titles, impressively for someone of such a young age. Stan James go 16/1 about him securing a first Augusta title.

Nick Watney has played some of the most consistent golf of 2011 and he’s on offer at 16/1, while the fearless Rickie Fowler should improve a great deal this year and can be backed at 33/1.

Meanwhile, we are expecting Paddy Power to offer at least six places on their each-way betting for the event and it might even be the case that a bookmaker decides to go seven places which would offer customers great value for money.

Victor Chandler also have a year-round golf promotion where they pay out any player as a tournament winner if the player scores a hole in one. Over the past few years at the US Masters, there has usually been at least one person who has aced one of the par 3 holes at the course and it is well worth checking out this bookmaker’s prices.

When it comes to In-Play betting on the US Masters, we would recommend bet365, who have an excellent live wagering service across all sports. There are a wide range of In-Play markets that will be available and one of the most exciting tends to be ‘Round 1 Leader’ and ‘Round 2 Leader’ where you can speculate on which player will be in front at the end of the first two days’ play.
