Author of a formidable qualifying campaign for the 2018 World Cup, Germany has completely missed his competition in Russia this summer. Indeed, the National Mannschaft took the door in the group stage, finishing last in the standings. Note the non-selections of Ozil (retirement, Arsenal), Khedira (Juventus) and Rudy (Schalke 04), and defender Plattenhardt (Hertha Berlin), as well as the first steps of Kehrer (PSG), Schulz (Hoffeneheim) and Havertz (Leverkusen) in the national team. Not selected for the World Cup, the winger Sané (Man City) is back, as the scorer Petersen (Freiburg) or stopper Tah (Leverkusen). For his part, Didier Deschamps simply decided to recall his 23 world champions. Injured, goalkeepers No. 1 Lloris (Tottenham) and No. 2 Mandanda (OM) however left their places in Costil (Bordeaux) and Lecomte (Montpellier) for this rally. All other executives of the selection are present as Varane (Real Madrid), Umtiti (Barcelona), Pogba (Man Utd), Kante (Chelsea), Matuidi (Juventus), Griezmann (Atl Madrid), Mbappé (PSG) or Giroud ( Chelsea). Deciding to retire internationally, defender Rami (OM) is in the group.
