Giuseppe Marotta is generating new-found belief Juventus can finish within the top four, and he has promised a fight to win a Champions League place.

After last season’s failure to qualify for Europe’s premier club competition, Marotta is at pains to explain the need to make it this time.

Sunday’s 2-0 win away to Roma provided relief and a means to challenge Udinese who in are fourth spot, eight points above Juve with seven games to go.

“Looking at the league and the continuous surprises, we have to try and get into the Champions League,” he told La Stampa.

“Clearly, it will be very difficult, but we have to try and we will fight until the final day of the season.”

Juve welcome Genoa to the Olimpico on Sunday. The Grifoni lost to Cagliari last week 1-0 at home.
